Mohave County's One-Stop Centers represent an integrated partnership of workforce and community programs that promote individual self-sufficiency and community quality of life.

Mohave County's One-Stop Centers are entry points into the Arizona Workforce Connection's One-Stop System of job-seeker and employer services. The Centers are located in Kingman, Lake Havasu City, and Bullhead City . The One-Stop partners work closely with local businesses, educators and job seekers to ensure that the workforce needs of Mohave County are identified and that opportunities exist to build the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for a vibrant local workforce.

One-Stop Centers provide core services universally to all persons with a right to work who are seeking employment assistance. More intense support and training services are available to persons who are eligible for assistance under certain Federal and State programs. These programs target numerous "at risk" populations including dislocated or laid off workers who are affected by the downsizing or closure of their companies. One-Stop also helps job seekers with special needs, e.g., veterans, disabled workers, welfare recipients, teen parents, and older workers. One-Stop partners with many organizations in order to provide these job seekers with customized employment and training solutions.

Each One-Stop Center integrates the services of the following federally-funded programs, through staff co-location, coordination of services, and integration of activities:

Job Service
Assistance for job seekers in finding jobs and employers in finding qualified workers.

Adult Education and Literacy
Assistance for adults to become literate and obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency.

Vocational Rehabilitation
Assistance for people with disabilities to prepare for, get, or keep meaningful jobs.

Welfare to Work
Employment-based assistance for long-term welfare recipients and those with characteristics associated with welfare dependency.

Senior Community Service Employment Program
Help for persons aged 55 and older to find jobs, increase incomes, and learn new skills.

Postsecondary Vocational Education
Training for adults for high skill, high wage jobs in emerging occupations.

North American Free Trade Agreement/(NAFTA)/Transitional Adjustment Assistance (TAA)
Employment services to persons whose firms are affected by layoff or threat of layoff due to competition from foreign counties.

Veterans' Employment & Training Services
Specialized employment and training services for qualified veterans and other eligible persons.

Employment and Training activities - Community Services Block Grant Act
Federal funding for non-profit agencies for the purposes of creating and promoting job opportunities for low-income individuals.

Employment and Training activities - Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
Employment opportunities and necessary training and supportive service provided through several HUD-funded programs.

Unemployment Insurance
Benefits that are paid timely to individuals who are involuntarily unemployed.

Dislocated Workers - REPAC
Services for workers who have been laid off and for displaced homemakers.
