Department Profile
The
Public Works Department is comprised of the following Divisions:
Engineering - Roadway design, construction and improvement.
Subdivision and commercial
site plan review. Design management. GIS. Right of way
working permits.
Survey -
Record of surveys, parcel plat reviews, right of way studies,
construction
staking and topographic surveys, provide horizontal and vertical control
for
the County, and manage contracted aerial topographic surveys.
Road - Road Maintenance.
Traffic Control - Signing, traffic studies, and pavement marking.
Flood Control -
Flood determinations, flood mitigation, flood permits.
Facilities Management
- County buildings and grounds maintenance, remodeling and janitorial
services.
Parks - Maintenance of buildings and grounds. Park law enforcement.
Fleet Services
and Equipment Maintenance -
Fueling, vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance.
Improvement Districts - Mohave County road, water, and sewer Improvement Districts.
GVID Water Operations -
Golden Valley Improvement District water operations.
I-40 Water Operations - I-40 Corridor water operations.
Landfill - Cerbat Landfill & Mohave Valley Landfill. Household Hazardous Waste Information.
Emergency Management -
Assistance in response to major disasters - natural, man-made or
technical.
