Current Cooperative Procurement Contracts

The primary role of public procurement is to obtain quality goods and services to support effective and efficient government ensuring the prudent use of public funds. More and more, government procurement professionals are turning to cooperative contracts to ease the strain. Cooperative contracts are becoming increasingly popular at the federal, state and local levels. Cooperative procurement is popular because it can save significant time and money in contract production as well as achieve more competitive pricing through the power of aggregation. Economies of scale cannot be ignored.

The procuring party shall be responsible for the ordering of materials or services under any cooperative Contract. A non-procuring party shall not be liable in any fashion for any violation by a procuring party, and the procuring party shall hold the non-procuring party harmless from any liability, which may arise from action or inaction of the procuring party.
