  1. When is one registered?
    You are registered when your registration form is completed and mailed to Mohave County Voter Registration Department, AND it is received by Voter Registration on or before 29 days before an Election. Retain the copy of the Registration Form receipt.
  2. When does one have to reregister?
    One must reregister if the voter has moved from one residence to another, changed their name, or if the voter wishes to change political parties. Remember to fill in all questions as this is a re-registration.

  5. What Congressional District is Mohave County in?
    All of Mohave County is in Congressional District #2.
  6. What Legislative District is Mohave County in?
    All of Mohave County, except Precinct 27 Peach Springs, is in Legislative District #3. Precinct 27 Peach Springs is in Legislative District #2.
  7. What Hours are the polls open?
    On Election Day all polls open at 6:00 AM and close at 7:00 PM.
  8. I’m registered Independent. Can I vote in the Primary Election?
    Arizona is an open primary state. Independents may vote for Candidates of recognized parties in these Primary Elections, but can choose only one party’s ballot.
  9. My voter registration says my party is PND. What is that?
    PND means “party not designated”. That means when you registered to vote, you didn’t state you were affiliated with any state recognized political party.
  10. I lost my voter ID card, how can I get a new one?
    1. By visiting the Mohave County Voter Registration Office, or
    2. By calling the Mohave County Voter Registration Office at 928-753-0767
  11. What if I have an address in Mohave County but reside overseas & want to vote in an upcoming election?
    Contact the Voter Registration Office at 928-753-0767, or by mail at PO Box 7000, Kingman AZ 86402-7000, or Click here to request an early ballot: http://www.co.mohave.az.us/depts/recorder/early_ballot_req.asp (If you have not voted an early ballot obtained from this office for the Presidential Election, you may vote a Presidential Only Ballot available at any American Embassy.)

  14. What does a Vote-by-Mail Election Mean?
    Every registered voter within the jurisdiction will be mailed a ballot. You do not need to call and order an early ballot. There will be no polling places. Once you receive your ballot in the mail, vote your choice and place it in the designated return envelope. BE SURE TO SIGN THE AFFIDAVIT STATEMENT ON THE BACK OF THE BALLOT ENVELOPE ON THE LINE FOR SIGNATURE OF ELECTOR. If you do not sign with your signature as shown on your registration card, your ballot will not be accepted, and it will not count. Your signature is your safety check so no one can steal your vote.
  15. How old must one be to hold a federal office?
    One must be 35 years old to be President, 30 to be a U.S. Senator, and 25 years to be a U.S. House member.
