Each year, thousands of checks are issued that are invalid, resulting in huge losses to businesses and individuals. Consumers ultimately pay for losses through higher prices forced onto the merchants
The County Attorney is cracking down on those who write bad checks. We help individuals and merchants collect on bad checks they have received. Last year, we handled 1,306 checks; and collected $117,105 for the victims.
Our Bad Check Handbook assists victims of bad checks in recovering losses caused by bad check writers. The program is free to all business owners within Mohave County.
